Chaim has been separated from his wife Raizel since May 2013.

 

Chaim has been refusing to give Raizel a get (Jewish bill of divorce), leaving her an agunah despite their separation of nearly a decade.

A psak (ruling) ordering Chaim to give a get was issued by the Rabbinical Court of Jerusalem, Israel.
