A Message of Hope for 5778
It's that time of year again. Everyone is busy getting ready for the holidays, sending Rosh Hashana cards, sharing their thoughts and wishes with their friends and loved ones. There is an optimism and hope when looking ahead to a new year, a year full of new opportunities and possibilities.
However, this time of year is also a time that we spend reflecting on the past, thinking about the difficulties we faced over the past year and worried about challenges that we may face in the coming year. So, how can we still enjoy the holiday season and rise above our personal challenges?
The answer is simple - reach out! Take one step towards your neighbor, towards your friend, towards your community. Throughout our davening on the Yamim Noraim, we call out to G-d as one nation, "נזכר ונכתב לפניך אנחנו וכל עמך בית ישראל לחיים טובים ולשלום״ - "remember us and write us, the entire Nation of Israel, for a good life and peace". Reach out to that community, reach out to someone for support!
At One Step Forward, we are here to provide information and referrals to anyone going through the Jewish divorce process. For many of our callers, this is the most lonely period of time in their life. However, because of One Step Forward, they no longer have to go through it alone.
Enjoy the holiday season, give your loved ones an extra hug, and know that we are here for you in the coming year to help in whatever way we can.
Shana Tova!
